Hermes Scarves - Rare
Hermès produces a limited number of scarves for private companies, charitable organizations and to commemorate various events throughout the year. A new artist may be commissioned or an older design may be reissued. There can be subtle changes to a design, title, or a new colour way may be offered. A recent example would be the carrè New Orleans, which Hermès reissued to assist with restoration after Katrina. Hugo Grygkar’s equestrian classic, Brides de Gala, is often reissued to commemorate a new boutique opening. Generally, as there are fewer of these designs on the market, many become highly collectible.
